Another annual event this time of year is the Coastal Empire Annual Blues Festival. Located in Midway Georgia, this event starts at 12pm on Saturday September 4th. The festival will feature different blues acts but stars West Love & the 478 Band.

Fort McAllister State Park is over 1,700 acres located along the Ogeechee River. Only ten miles South of Savannah, the park has Fort McAllister, which is one of the most preserved forts from the Confederacy. In addition to trees and a salt marsh, there is a museum full of Civil War artifacts.
Spend Sunday September 4th between 10am and 1pm at Fort McAllister for a day filled with education and entertainment, perfect for the whole family. As part of the special occasion, civil war interpreters will be firing muskets throughout the day!
