The Space

The historic Murphy House, built in the 1820s for three "spinster" sisters, later became the long-time residence of French artist Murphy. His original paintings still hang in the foyer today. Enter your unit through the main entrance on the parlor level and ascend the staircase to the second floor, where you'll find a thoughtfully designed space combining kitchen, living, and bedroom into one seamless layout. The single-wall kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, cookware, utensils, and dishware, perfect for brewing morning coffee or preparing meals. The living area features a large, comfortable sofa and a smart TV above a custom fireplace, ideal for relaxing and streaming your favorite shows. Stylish accents and throw-blankets make for a comfortable evening after a day of exploring the city. Towards the back of the unit, a spacious enclave houses a new queen mattress with crisp linens and plush pillows. Across the space is an armoire for ample storage, and a dedicated workspace for remote work. The bathroom, located at the back of the unit is newly finished with custom tile, a single vanity, a low-entry shower, and an all-in-one washer and dryer, making it perfect for extended stays. The bathroom is equipped with all the essentials including towels, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.
